How to run a fair side-by-side test
Reviews go out of date fast. A 30-minute test with your own prompt tells you more.
- Use free credits or trials first where a tool offers them.
- Pick one prompt that looks like your real work, plus one reference image.
- Match settings: same aspect ratio, and the closest length and resolution each tool allows.
- Generate three takes per tool and judge the best one, not the first.
- Score the same things for each: prompt accuracy, motion, consistency, text, audio, speed and cost per usable clip.
- Note the workflow: how many steps to get from idea to exported video.
